Are you looking for a way to give back to the local, Staffordshire community this Christmas? Would you like to be involved with an initiative that’ll enable disadvantaged children to access reading material in their homes? If so, Literacy for Life could be for you.
We’re a new, not-for-profit organisation, formed on the back of a local book club in Tean – Just another book club. However, we’re more than just ladies who read, we have a dream whereby all children have the opportunity to enter a world of imagination and creativity – accessed through the magic of a book. But we can only do this with the help of individuals like you who are kind enough to donate funds. These will enable us to purchase new reading material, which will then be distributed by local charities to disadvantaged young people this Christmas.

This is important because one in 10 children aged 5-18 don’t have a book of their own at home. We desperately want to change this for the children in our community.

We welcome donations of all sizes. If our packages are not the right fit, you can still donate any amount you choose, For every £1 donated, 1 book is in a child’s hands.
Bronze Package
£50
You’ll also receive your company name on our website, a social media thank you post, plus the Literacy for Life sponsors’ stamp to use on your own website.
Silver Package
£100
Alongside everything in our Bronze Package, you’ll also receive an opportunity to attend ‘That’s a wrap’ evening to get hands on with parcel making.
Gold Package
£150
On top of our Silver Package perks, you’ll receive an opportunity to deliver books to one of our nominated partner charities and be in subsequent promotional photographs.
